2008!

YES!

By 2008 AT&T will finally deliver TWO HD streams!!!

and 100mb? wow!

oh wait - i'd have to live in the lot NEXT to the CO to get ANYWHERE that speed!

not to mention that my current residence, and past 4 have been too far out of the loop to get dsl.

not excited. at all. actually, i hope this spells demise for the FTTN idea.

go FTTH - stop f$!@ing around allready! spend the $$$ now, or wait a couple years to re-do it all over again!

AT&T rep stopped by the house the other day to try and sell me their services and i promptly said no but said when you offer uverse here and have faster internet speeds maybe and his response was 100mbit internet is on its way. That is one of those i will believe it when i see it. I do only live like 2 blocks from the CO.

doesn't matter if you live 2 blocks from the CO or 2 blocks from a VRAD like I do. VDSL2 might get 100mbps, but at&t currently caps the rate at 25mbps, and of that, 6mbps can be used for Internet.

And right now they are using VDSL 1.5 without bonding so 25mbps is all they can get. Bellsouth before ATT killed what they were doing was getting 35 to 40mbps with ADSL2+ at 5000 to 6000 feet. And with MX I saw 80mbps at the NID.
