IIRC that was still a weakness with the 16 Mbps UTP topology.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1451792"><b>Time4aNAP</b></A> : I worked for an outfit that was deploying thinnet in the early 90s.  It had all kinds of weak points.  The off-the-shelf BNC "T" connectors used at each NIC led to lots of inadvertent disconnections.  You didn't need a cut, a good tight kink in the coax was enough to compromise the transmission line.  But it did save a bundle on hubs and star wiring installation costs.]]></description>
