AT&T 2Wire Wireless Router with DSL Modem

I bought an AT&T 2Wire Wireless Router with DSL Modem at Best Buy yesterday. Before I open the box, I have a question. On the side of the box it lists the contents and says nothing about a CD. But under the system requirements it says 125 MB of free disk space and a CD-Rom drive. Is there a CD in the box? Do I have to install something on my PC for this to work? Does it have to be installed on every PC? What kind of software is it?

Thanks,

Kathleen

Model# would help. I'm sure there is a CD inside. Probably a 'dummies' guide CD that walk you though everything. You should just be able to hit the setup page at »homeportal however if that fails you can try »192.168.1.254 or »172.16.0.1
You want to go to the setup page at »homeportal/setup

Plop in your account info and you should be set.

On the setup page you will be asked for a keycode. The keycode for SBC/ATT is:
522P-22P4-6262-22AT-F2NV
This will set the basic configuration of the 2Wire to work with the SBC/ATT network. (You may also get a page asking you to set an administration password. This is used to protect the settings inside the 2Wire itself, and is not the password for your DSL connection. You can however use the same for both if you set them that way. Make sure to write down passwords as you set them so they are not lost.)

You do not need to register your account.

Thanks you. It's a 2701HG-B. I will check the link - thanks for the keycode.
