@insightbb.com | [Speed] Easynews Throttling?
Anyone know if Insight is trying to throttle Easynews? As of this morning I am getting 1 byte/second downloads from their service (yes, 1 byte a second). That's after dropping and reconnecting and everything. |

1 edit | reply to InsightUser Well, I use my g/f's usenetserver acct, and I am seeing a throttle of about 130KB/sec per connection.
UNS claims they do not do any throttling on their end. So, make your own conclusions.
So, I am guessing all NNTP traffic connections are infact throttled on insight's end.

1 edit | reply to InsightUser well i guess its time to threaten insight again here at work they are throttling our business conection the same way and I am suppose to beable to use what we pay for Its getting really tiring that insights awnser to there lack of bandwidth is to screw the customer that pays for there service and another service. Next they will be throttling xbox live traffic |

| reply to madmax2000 said by madmax2000 :that is correct unless you use our news service If by our you mean Insight's (reselling Giganews) news server then yes, you aren't capped at 130KB/s per connection, but 30KB/s per connection. |

| I also use GIGANEWS and after switching to Vista, I'm all over the place. It goes from under 1mb if I use newsleecher, and up to 8mb if I use newsbin...I'm at a loss. I read about Vistas auto network settings and wonder if thats the issue. Is there a way to set them to function like XP's? I also have cable nut so if there is a .css file that works PLEASE!!! let me know.
I'm attempting to Google search but haven't had much luck.

| reply to InsightUser Do you use any kind of download manager? I highly suggest using Free Download Manager FDM for easynews. Here is what I get constantly.
