[southwest] Lewisville / Colony TX, 75056 - new neighborhood

Building a new home just north of 121 at Standridge, between Josey and Old Denton. I'd like to see if FIOS is available in this area or if they plan to offer it. The Centex Homes sales lady said not yet, I'm just hoping she's wrong. We already have FIOS 4 miles to the South in Carrollton, and I'd hate to lose it even temporarily.

I am guessing your new home is in the Meridian neighborhood from looking at the Centex website. If this is the neighborhood, then you may be out of luck. In the utilities section for the Meridian neighborhood it list AT&T as the telephone service. So my best guess is that FiOS will not be put in for your neighborhood. Maybe you will be able to get AT&T U-verse in the future.

NOTE: There are small sections of Lewisville (east), and Carrollton (North) that the ILEC is AT&T.

From what I know, places like Lantana, Texas (west of Flower Mound) that are served by much smaller phone companies are places were Verizon has gone in with FiOS service.

I also know that in new neighborhoods in cities that have FiOS, Verizon is telling the builders that they will be installing only fiber for the new phone service.

I hope this information helps.

You're right it's the Meridian. Yes I guess that info helps, although disappointing. So now I have to find someone with a decent channel line-up. We had DirctTV before FIOS and we weren't that impressed.
