anon : Stand alone DSL has been available in the old 9 state Bellsouth area for the past month. Call up and ask for Bundle 90 or Bundle 97 (97 requires you have Cingular to bundle with it, but it gives you $5 additional dollars off your cell bill which will be combined).

And the $10 deal is for all 22 states and no it isn't advertised - you have to click on the link for "term contracts".

BTW, $10 for a 768K connection with the price set in stone for 2.5 years isn't enough for you? Comcast is charging me $29.99 per month for a 300K connection and if I want it to be faster it will cost $55.

Also keep in mind DSL Lite prior to June 1st was 256k and $24.95 per month. So cutting the price by over 60% and tripling the speed and you're complaining? What a jackhole.
