These are pictures I took of the huge snowstorm that rolled through Mid-Missouri in January of 2011. I know it's not much compared to places like Colorado and New York but 18+ inches is a lot for us! |

Here's my snow gauge. We had 13" of new snow which isn't that much up here I live north of Syracuse). Not sure exactly when this was but Dec of '09. I know the kids had to go to school.
Edited to reflect correct date. The grill is my snow gauge. -- If I could only turn back the clock to when God and her were born. "Come in," she said, "I'll give you shelter from the storm." |

Re: Post your weather pictures here We had a brief rainstorm approximately 18:05 - 18:15 EDT.
It was pretty much straight down rain no strong winds or gusts, no lightning strikes in the immediate vicinity. There was some pea sized hail for several seconds, but nothing damaging.
Estimated precipitation 0.1".
After the cell passed, we were treated to a brilliant rainbow. |

You have to look real close and you can see two rainbows. The top one didn't come out very clear. I had never seen this and sure wish I was better at taking pictures.
The top one is about and inch or so above the one that is viewable. |

This was on Christmas day 2004. It didn't start snowing until about 8:30PM and I took this picture sometime between 4 and 5AM.
The Gulf of Mexico is about 2 miles over that fence. The bottom board on the fence is 14 inches from the ground. All this in about 8 hours. 60 miles due south of Houston.
Once in a lifetime snowfall. I was stationed in Iceland the year of 1959 to 60 and never saw this much snow at one time. |
