I wonder if you sign up for it with a 1-year contract, they'll tell you at the end of the year that you're no longer a new customer and don't qualify for the $10 rate any more?

Fatness from what I heard via my sources (internal memo) the offer is $10 a month for new customers and the offer is good till 2009. As long as you don't change default on your service the $10 price stays the same. And how long do you have to make up your mind well from now till 2009 once 2009 comes then the deal is over.

This being part of the FCC merger agreement.
