and if im correct isn't cox's network leased AT&T Bandwidth .. which would mean the cox network has Extreme amounts of capacity. not to mention the peering points ...

little off topic .. but i wish cox had someway to re-route everything from cogent thru level 3 then to me .. or i guess the Ash pop. i swear cogents network is congested like a mofo

Those are well established and I haven't seen any moves by the Internet community to expand upon them in the US. The primary "NAPs" are in LA, SF, Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, NYC, Ashburn, and Atlanta. We are at all NAPs except Seattle. There's a lesser NAP in Miami that caters to connections to Central and South America.

You always hear about all the fiber in Omaha because of SAC however in the public sector it's hard to come by.

Other than the FNBO data center and some small private data centers (Cosentry) we really have no internet presence here.

Well there is that one 90,000 sq ft one in Miracle Hills without any signage on it and has no phone number, if Cox wanted to peer to Level 3 back in the death of @home this would have been the place, and only a few blocks away!
