| Thanks and farewell to all who made this forum one of the best!
We have known for some time now Adelphia, the company, has been sold. This forum has been of service for many years to Adelphia customers and during many recent months to those being migrated to Time Warner and Comcast. Many of you making these changes have been grateful for the support of a number of regulars, former Adelphia techs and consumers alike, who have helped wherever they could to make the transition go as smoothly as possible for you. In multiple topics you have expressed that gratitude.
I have enjoyed very much being a member of this community. Thanks to all of you, it has developed its own unique flavor and gradually become a place where people could find help and, if desired, also enjoy the wonderful humor of some of our illustrious regulars. I've only been a junior janitor here, but I think I'm as sad as some of the rest of you to see it end.
We have also known the closing of the company would eventually mean the forum would move to the BBR archives. My best information tells me all former customers are now being supported by one of the new companies, so I must sadly tell you the party is over. It is time to call down the mighty BBR chimp to install the lock and put our forum home to bed. I believe, if all goes well, he intends to leave the curtains open, so you will still be able to search for all the nuggets of knowledge posted here over the years.
Thanks to hobgoblin  for hosting the farewell bash.  Thanks to the guests for not sticking big, hairy, toes over the line ... only a tip of a toenail here and there  ... and not spilling too much beer on the carpet. Great party!
