Neither site specifically states whether they use Wi-Max or some other wireless technology. Sympatico sounded suspiciously possible with their 3 mbit limit and 5 mile range. Are we using the term "Wi-Max" loosely to describe wireless in general ? Not tying to split hairs, just curious. I have never heard of any commercial deployments of real Wi-Max. Even so, 3 mbits with an indoor self install is not too bad whether it is real Wi-Max or 900 Mhz Motorola canopy.
