Well since I am prepaid until 2014 I suppose that I have a problem. Perhaps I should have listened to Christcorp. I think that I will sell my contract on eBay.
You did not seriously give them $700 did you?

So when they do belly up, wonder what happens to our service/numbers?

I don't really think they have any chance of coming out of bankruptcy, how does the switch get pulled in the end?

I don't see why Vonage or anyone else would take on the debt of all these contracts without any revenue coming in.

If the close the doors, you are SOL, even if it is a number you have had for years.

Well I doubt that will happen with so many numbers that have been ported in.

Something tells me Level 3 (or whoever their termination partner) has a specific clause in their contract that says they can terminate the contract, then contact the end user directly if there is breach.

Obviously Level 3 will not want to do this directly however they may sell you to someone.

I have contracts with termination carriers that have that clause.

Yep, this is our friendly troll under another nick, who tried to convince all of us that we should keep buying in to SR because they were the best-run VOIP . If they take a dump, I wonder if he'll be singing the same song as an unsecured creditor in bankruptcy court.

SunRocket's death is greatly exaggerated. For me, it has been a fine service. This is my third year as a subscriber and I have experienced very few problems.

In the unlikely event that SunRocket were to go out of business, I would be disappointed however, you win some and you lose some.

C'est la vie.

What makes you think that they will close the doors? I believe that they are simply clearing some deadwood from their staff so that they may continue to grow.

Should Vonage go belly up, SunRocket would be a prime beneficiary as it is now the VOIP leader.

Not to bust your bubble, But SR is not even close to being the 'VOIP leader.'

They have however brought a got amount of residential users to market with low price offerings. I'm just surprised that they don't care to keep them.

This forum has a ridiculous, ridiculous amount of VT trolls. Seriously, I've never seen so many.

I haven't seen ONE thread go by without someone mentioning ViaTalk

A mod should censor it or something.

Judging by the posts in this forum you wouldn't get a good picture of Sunrocket, but out on the rest of the net surprisingly Sunrocket is regarded pretty well. Om Malik thinks pretty highly of them (saw a post on his gigom site) as well as the myvoipprovider website...they are rated as one of the top 100 voip providers.

Interesting, I don't see anyone trolling for them here. The reason VT is mentioned along with SR (in vice versa I would add) is because they both offer two for one deals quite regularly and that can make a good base for comparison.

Each and every provider has their days in the limelight and the days on the bottom of the well.
