We had severe storms move through last night and the Netopia held sync till the storm was on top of us. These storms had an incredible about of lightning. We also had dime sized hail and over an inch of rain in 30 minutes! When the storm got bad I powered everything down and unplugged the AC and phone.
Aways a good idea, no matter what surge protection you have.
