CEOs are always on the hunt for cheap cash -- that's their job. I wouldn't read too much into that -- when they come back with 2 for 1 offers to try to pry $199 from a few extra new customers, that would be a more telling sign of an impending problem. |

Based on that logic, VT should be ready to shut its doors. On the other hand, should SR permit existing customers to participate in upcoming 2-for-1 deals, that could be a telling sign. |

SR had at least a year head start on VT ... wouldn't be a shock if VT soon slowed its use of that promo as SR did last fall ... also, VT is a side business of another successful (we're told) enterprise, so there could be some subsidization going on ... SR is standalone with no other business units to help with the cash flow, or to offset or share expenses ... |
