According to the article, currently VZ has a 55% stake in VZW; that means Vodaphone currently owns 45%.

VZ will purchase as much of VZW as possible. As long as they remain separate entities VZ can hold VZW and use VZW profits to pad their bottom line while rolling out FIOS.
