Verizon still uses an ANSI core. Either way Verizon is going to have to move to a more modern internal network. <br><br>If Verizon did switch, they would support both networks until the conversion was complete. Telstra in Australia is doing the exact thing. VZ will purchase as much of VZW as possible. As long as they remain separate entities VZ can hold VZW and use VZW profits to pad their bottom line while rolling out FIOS.<br><br>Beautiful play by Ivan if they get the ok.
