GO HEAD CV!

Show 'em who's boss in your backyard!
FiOS will NEVER outlast CV on LI.
People just like to whine and complain, but never realize how good they actually have it.

Free Wi-Fi is the way to go and the fat catz on LI will love it! One more in the bucket!
There is nothing wrong with the current OOL offerings!

I like to see CV offering stuff like this. I'm no longer a subscriber, but I changed to Fios and I've been thrilled since the day I did it. OptOnline was great for a while, but then my node I believed got saturated---slowdowns during peak times, some latency I wasn't happy with and occasional outages.

Switched to Fios in 2005 and never had an outage yet (aside from an outage caused by power), extremely consistent throughput, and latency that is rediculously low.

Verizon is making a great push, and I think eventually they will take over more CV subscribers, but I don't see that happening for 10 years at least.

None the less, it's nice that CV is doing this for their customers.
