SoundExchange also collects fees for non-RIAA afliated artists in the event the artists/labels wants to collect later on. However, they don't actively pursue notifiying those artists/labels other than making a list available on thier site that says "Hey, we collected money for you, come get it." How is the artists/labels supposed to know without checking the site constantly or becoming memebers of the RIAA?
