It's not hard to see the writing on the wall.... Incumbent Telco and Cable companies are going to own us (and our future) and IF WE ARE LUCKY options like Muni or a WI-FI competitor may exist, but in most cases it's going to Cable and Telco, and that is it. :/

I know that part of the problem they are having with the muni wifi venture is that they don't advertise it at all. You typically find out about it by accidentally connecting to one of their access points.
