| Wi-Fi - maybe Apparently, Steve's company doesn't filter the public Wi-Fi connection like mine does.
I still don't buy the Wi-Fi bit as an excuse not to include faster mobile broadband chips. Now, not to include the faster mobile broadband chips to increase battery life, sure, that's valid. But open free Wi-Fi isn't as pervasive as mobile broadband. |

Having a phone with 3g, and having seen the "Battery savings" firsthand (you can shut off 3g if you desire), I don't buy this excuse either. Like Wifi doesn't drain a battery?
They botched this one plain and simple. Apple developed a cutting edge product but failed to include crucial cutting edge technology that would have been a perfect marriage to the product. -- Laser eye surgery rocks! I love frickin' laser beams. |

This phone isn't running windows, so it likely can join and remember passwords for encrypted wireless connections. It probably even automatically joins your preferred networks. Duh. |

And who said anything about what OS the phone runs? |
