| Edge is Often Ok, But... It really depends on your usage. I just spent a few days in a hotel which had overpriced broadband and just tethered my phone on EDGE and didn't pay $15 a day for Broadband (where did the hotel think it was located -- the UK? $15 for Cincinnati was over the top).
All I was doing was routine e-mails and minor websurfing (checking in for flights, looking at restaurant reviews, and a little Westlaw). Edge was fine. If I had wanted to stream or watch video, I would have had a problem.
Oddly, with this configuration, the phone would have better on TMobile -- nationwide edge with a network of hotspots along the way. | |

Tenafly, NJ | I get pretty decent picture quality on my laptop using Cingular Edge via Bluetooth connection from my phone. It's not super clear, but it's pretty good all things considered... | |
