Non-tech savvy people have a hard time figuring these things out. From what I have seen, they use computers and devices basically by mentally recording coordinates of buttons. They are completely incapable of figuring things out by analogy. |

She doesn't understand that the "Power" button her TV remote turns the TV on and off... she understands that the Top-Left circular green button turns the TV on and off, which she then applies to all remotes and ends up not knowing WTF to do. |

Oh my gosh, I agree with you 100%. I am simply amazed at how many people I see at work using their computers and they are so unorganized in how they use the programs, I mean it's like they're completely lost all the time. What really gets me is watching people use the right click to copy, then right clicking again to paste something. I just want to smack them in the back of their head and tell them to use the freakin' keyboard for something as easy as copy/paste. I think this is why I'm so much faster at work than others...because I can use the mouse in combination with the keyboard. Maybe this skill comes from my Marathon Playing days... -- He must have been an admiral a sultan or a king, and to his praises we shall always sing. Look what he has done for us he's filled us up with cheer! Lord bless Charlie Mops, the man who invented beer. |
