 | Nine Alternatives To Apple's iPhone »www.informationweek.com/hardware···eryText=
Apple's iPhone is the sought-after smartphone of the moment, but it's outside the reach of some people and not ideal for everyone. Not only is the iPhone expensive at $499 to $599, but some IT departments won't support it, making it impractical for professionals who want to stay on the good side of the CIO.
Fortunately, there are many iPhone alternatives, including those with media players for music, video, and streaming content. At prices ranging from $75 to $450, they're cheaper than Steve Jobs' latest pet project, too. Go to the link above to check out 9 phones that can do what the iPhone does and you won't have to pay $500 or $600 for them. -- -- Internet News My BLOG My Web Page |

Maybe in PA. I'll take Sprint over ATT any day. Especially when I'm doing anything data related (ie - Treo, Blackberry, etc.), it is Sprint or it is slow as molasses. -- Prove it... Re: Nine Alternatives To Apple's iPhone There's no reason to pay that. Nor to wait in line. Apple will keep making these as long as they sell. It's not a limited edition. The worst that happens is that you wait a few weeks... but probably not even that. (So, in other words, these people are nuts.)
But, having seen the iPhone and seen other phones, there aren't nine other phones that can do what it does, nor even one, at any price. -- 09 F9 11 02 9D 74 E3 5B D8 41 56 C5 63 56 88 C0 |

For someone who lives in a rural, less populated area, I appreciate carriers (like AT&T Affiliate Edge Wireless and US Cellular, two of the three carriers here, Verizon being the third) that cover us "unimportant" people. |

......
That's right because Verizon and T-Mobile usually top them. Do not get confused when AT&T goes to town saying they're the best with part of the evaluation that in some bum Egypt market comes up with AT&T a .01 percentage point ahead. That's about 10 calls that did not have an issue out of a few hundred. -- Mac Chatter »www.macchatter.net |

 | reply to fAcEtIOUs Verizon says they have 18 phones that do what the iphone does. They just don't have large, touch-sensitive screens. |
|
 | reply to wmcbrine I'll wait for iPhone 2. It's bullsh*t that the Europeans get HSDPA and we get EDGE... not to mention the crappy non-replaceable battery that forces you to always be near a power plug. |
