It's not really that difficult of a concept to grasp. So simple maybe even a Windows user can follow it.

| It's not that people hate the Iphone or hate the Iphone buyers.
It's just the sheer stupidity displayed by camping out over a frickin gadget, which will be available almost anywhere now that its in production.
Is it bragging rights people act the way they do? Just to say I was the first to get an Iphone? God love 'em.
Then there are the ebay clueless who actually purchase these items at an inflated price.
Makes one wonder do these ebay idiots have more money than brains? Common sense option is to wait a week or so to get one.
A concept so simple most, Windows and Mac users should understand. Then again maybe not because a display of common sense is rare these days.
BTW: this event and those game console buyers delivered a good laugh.

2 edits | I agree. And while I could see SOME logic in waiting for a console that was already announced to be in short supply to make some extra $$$ on eBay, I see no such claims of shortages here. These people will have camped out for a phone that they could walk into the store next week and buy.
I see pictures of this stuff and shake my head just as I would at someone dressed up as Darth Nylis at a Sci-Fi convention.
But I'm referring to those bitching about the phone being from AT&T, being Edge, or gasp, having an Apple logo on it.
If these people don't want it, don't buy it. EVERY product ever made has flaws and fanboys. And I would add that even the Apple haters should thank Steve Jobs for knocking Paris Hilton off the front page for a day or two.

3 edits | I'm not waiting in line for it. I'll get one in a week or so. My friend picked one up though from the South Coast Plaza Apple store (where they had tons) and yes, after playing around with it myself for a good hour or so, it is perfection. It does everything I need a phone, PDA and iPod to do plus more. Call quality is excellent and the interface is nothing short of revolutionary. The iPhone's OS and keyboarding is so far superior to my POS Treo700W running the horrid Windows Mobile OS it's sickening. My Treo700W+WinMoble is stone-age sh!t compared to my buddy's iPhone. |
