MacWorld staff is 0 for 2 trying to get their iPhones workin

Given the run around by both AT&T and Apple...

And like a user in the ATM forum who tried to get AppleCare for his computer today, they're refusing support because they're busy selling iPhones.

And the other staffer's iPhone was DOA

Lame and not a very good start.

LOL, it already started. Wait a minute, everything is going great. The problems are less than 1% of all the Iphones sold.

All technical devices will have a certain percentage that are defective, but 0 for 2 means a LOT are defective or the Macworld guys are incredibly unlucky.

If the defect rate is 1% the odds of Macworld buying 2 phones and both being bad is 1/10000.

My guess is the defect rate (between HW and these activation problems) is MUCH higher than 1%.

EDIT - A 3rd Macworld staffer WAS able to get their iPhone fired up and activated. 1 out of 3 ain't bad
