1 edit | for me in Connecticut is just $5 more just make sure you get the right one. hdmi or component connection
since they can not separate the box's your main cable box will be upgrade to support hd with the other one being copy but without a hdtv cable box
it just may be a total of $12 but not sure |

Make sure you get a box with the HDMI connection on it if it is possible. Comcast will provide you with 6 ft component cables in some areas. -- caddy |

Call Comcast for pricing. Every area is different. BTW, you should probabl go for the DVR- it's probably just $5/month more than the HD only rate. |

 | reply to patspub I just got a hd box last week it's the 6200. It has the dvi output on it. I don't don't know if they make a 6200 with HDMI on it. The 6412 dvr phase 2 had the dvi and the 6200 phase 3 had the HDMI. Different outputs but the same model no -- caddy |

 | I don't think that they will but I have heard that some offices does. When you pick one up ask or if you having bought ask the installer. -- caddy |

I don't think that will work in his case. HDMI has the audio feed built in dvi don't you have to have separate cables for sound. The tv would have to have the HDMI and a audio input but they don't just hdmi. He would have to find a adapter that had audio cable connected to it also -- caddy |

Short answer: Probably not (my local office is closed on Sunday's so def no for me)
Long answer: It depends on whether your local office has depleted its supply of the older DCT boxes. Whether its refurb or new that they just got in, they can use those older models until they run out. Once they don't have anymore of the DCT, then they can start rolling out the DCH boxes.
I'd like to get one, and I will call Monday to find out about them. |

It's actually a pretty short answer, and accurate.
I wouldn't jump on the DCH- boxes. There is absolutely no reason to think that they'll work better than the DCT- boxes. If anything, the opposite is more likely to be true. |

I had mind set with a receiver with dvi going to the tv and optical going to my receiver -- caddy |
