| Slow download speed
Well i am using windows xp sp2 and a speedstream 4100 modem with a linksys router model #befsr41 and my connect seems like it is so slow. Also i have elite dsl Connected at 6016 Kbps (downstream) 768 Kbps (upstream). if there is anything i forgot please let me know I'm still new at this |

Have you tried the tweak test yet? It may help you quite a bit with the slowness you speak of. Give it a try.

yes i power the modem off and as for the configuration i'm not sure what you need.

| I don't see anything,in the router settings,that would restrict your DL speeds. Do you have the router set to "Obtain an IP Automatically" and what IP address does it recieve? The public IP or Private IP address from the modem(192.168.1.64)?

Martinsville, IN | yes the router is set to obtain the ip automatically but the ip im getting from the setup page is 192.168.1.100 unless u want the status page which is the 68.249.102.188 ip just noticed that in advanced routing nat is enabled. |

| Can you try this Setup for a SpeedStream 4100,4100b or 5100b modem and a Linksys router,and see if you can post your modem Statistics.
