I have the same version of firmware as you do and bellow login still works,

Cool thanks for the login however that login only allows you limited none administrative access which would not allow me to configure a new SIP address and configuration.

Yea I have already read that and tried it , thats how I know for certain that the firmware has changed the supervisor password. That information does however work on lingos old firmware devices.

Sorry I couldn't help more.

I've been away, so I missed this thread. If you allow your adapter to access the internet, it will auto-configure with a unique supervisor password, even if you are no longer a subscriber (unless you disable the auto-configuration feature). Firmware version 63b does have a default password, but it will work only if you perform a hard reset, and then prevent the adapter from accessing the internet. Check your IM.

i had posted the same question a while ago, but didn't get any answer.

i have tried doing a hard reset without the system being connected to internet, but the passwords listed on the sites don't work anymore for supervisor account for the latest firmware.

caseydoug - if you happen to know the new pass, mind sharing?

Does anyone know where firmware can be downloaded? Is there a difference between "lingo" and "unlocked" (if it exists)?

Lingo's firmware used to be available at 209.227.167.160. I haven't checked for a while.

Lingo doesn't really have an "unlocked" firmware version. Each version of the firmware has certain default settings built in, including a default supervisor password and a default location for its configuration files. As soon as new firmware is loaded, the adapter goes back to the internet to find and load the specified configuration files. Those files, in turn, proceed to overwrite the default password with a device-specific password and also to write all of your account information (SIP username, SIP password, SIP server addresses, etc.)

That is why knowing the default supervisor password will not by itself gain you access to your Lingo information. The default supervisor password will not even get you into the supervisor pages unless you perform a factory reset while disconnected from the internet -- i.e., wipe out the information that was loaded by the configuration files. So it really doesn't help you to know the default password unless you are terminating your Lingo service and want to use the adapter with a different provider.

I am still unable to unlock my adapter. tried this pwd and once I hit enter it clears out.

This is the same unit with a different name.

You should be able to sniff the ethernet packets to see if it attempts a firmware download (Via WAN PORT). If it does, try feeding it this file instead of the "real" file whether that be via TFTP or HTTP. This should be easy if it is looking for that file at a DNS name, and not an IP. A little more difficult if it is looking for an IP, but not impossible.

After feeding the unit the file, try a factory reset.

Those are instructions for upgrading the bootloader, which is not necessary. Also, following these instructions requires knowing the password, which is what people are trying to find out in the first place.

If you download the file there you will find the full firmware, of course you must LOOK in order to SEE it. Just as you should have read my previous post to have understood it. I did say

Also note that most of the locked devices that I have seen attempt to automatically download a newer firmware version (you may need to reset to force this to happen, but try first without resetting). So my suggestion is simply offering this firmware when the IAN-02ex asks for it, and resetting again afterwards, IF it takes the upgrade.

It may not give you the current password, but you MIGHT be able to use this information to make your box unlocked (and subsequently most probably unusable on Lingo)

I read your post, and I looked at the referenced files (in fact, I already had them). But the files included OLDER firmware versions than the 63b version that most iAN-02EX Lingo adapters currently have. A configuration file in the Lingo adapter tells it which firmware version to download, and it downloads that version only if it is not already loaded. It is highly unlikely that anyone reading this will have a configuration file that's looking for the specific firmware versions included in your post: Azatel versions 1.4 or 1.5, which haven't been used for years.

The other files included in your post were boot code files. I don't think people should try to load the boot code unless they know what they are doing.

If anyone want's to unlock their UTStarcom iAN-02EX or Azacall 200 adapter to use with a provider other than Lingo, just IM me.
