[Chat] BethAnne's back in the saddle

Click for full size
Poway Lake July 1, 2007
Hi all,

I just wanted to drop a quick post to let you all know BethAnne is doing very well after her recovery. She's back to work and back riding again as the picture shows.

This shot was taken just yesterday during our trail ride around Poway lake. It's our first real use of the new trailer and the first time any of the horses had ever been in this area. Everyone did really well and we had a great time. The trail is about 3.2 miles around the lake, nice and wide with just enough twist, turns, ups and downs to make if fun and interesting.

Oh and jopfef See Profile - There are a couple of shots in my picture gallery you might like of Pearl and Splashy I took a few weeks ago and just got loaded. »/pics/dimaging/384676

What's with the safety helmets? Some new nanny law get passed while I wasn't looking?

I don't know if it's a law or not but most all equestrian centers and events require riders under 18 to wear helmets just like when riding a bike. BethAnne wears one because she's had 6 concusions from horse riding accidents and I won't let her ride without it. The day before the trail ride she fell of the horse Eddie is riding in the picture because he spooked while she was working with him in the round pen at the ranch. Luckily she landed on her feet but still it could have been much worse. Granted she didn't have the saddle adjusted correctly but she was at least wearing her helmet.

David, it's just wonderful to see BethAnne back in the saddle again! You guys look like you're having a wonderful time on the ride -- I envy you!

Took a peek at the horses, and enjoyed seeing them! I love the one with the tongue hanging out -- LOL!!!

Glad you enjoyed them. Yeah that one with the tongue hanging out I didn't even know I had. I only discovered it going through some of the pictures last night looking for a desktop background.
