You let the box talk back to the headend so you can be billed for what you've bought.

If it isn't doing it automatically, call tech support and have a tech scheduled to fix it.

Just walk in to the office with the box and say it doesn't work anymore. Ask them for a new box.

you mean you cant order anymore ppv? if thats the case and you hit the limit then the billing system already sees the purchases and you need to make a payment on account.

The limits are generally defaulted at $150.00.Customer service can up it to whatever you want.
However.. if you reached 150.00 and are trying get more there is a good chance there is something "not right" going on with this anon poster. Because really.. there isnt 150.00 worth of anything worth watching through PPV.

@comcast.net
Will any of the following clear the limit or debit after I pay or after boxes are polled?
o 1.1 DVR HDD Reset
o 1.2 DVR Authorization and Factory Full Reset
o 1.3 Remote Control Resets

none of that will reset it, once the billing system hits $150 it will no longer authorize box to order ppv's, sometimes the box WILL order more but will eventually lock up and payment needs to be made and 24hours for it to post to account to reduce balance allowing further ppv's. Limit can be raised past the default of $150.00 but unless your bill is paid monthly and you dont have issues it is unlikely it will be raise.

kinda related: I have seen accounts with 2k limit with multiple payments made in a single month hitting upwards of 5k a month on adult titles alone.

This same rule/procedure applies to On Demand access, correct?

yes, ppv whether VOD or impulse function the same in regards to billing, you will know overlimit on VOD ppv's though since you will get "srm-9002" error code

If it's OnDemand, the box is talking back. If the box can't talk back, then you won't get the OnDemand service to begin with. OnDemand purchases are billed 1 minute after the show starts.

PPV needs to be polled by the billing system and is different. And in that case there is usually the credit limit (different in each system, ours is $200 - period, never lifted) or 8 events in the box. When you hit 8 classic PPV movies, the box will allow no more until they are cleared.

Likely, anyone that brings a box back into the warehouse, the PPVs are pulled by the warehouse and put on the account upon recycle. There is no way to avoid PPV fees.*

99 percent of people that reach the limit dont plan on paying for it anyway.

I take an awful lot of payments for only 1%.

Eek! I'd venture a guess their credit ratings are in the toilet.

My Mom works at a library. You can accrue up to $30 in fines before the system won't let you take out any more materials. She says people have given her a penny to bring the fine amount down to $29.99 so they can take something else out.
