The way I see it is like this.
With Docsis 3.0 coming soon from a cable co. near you
With Fios Coming from Verizon for those companies who will qualify for that..
there simply will be no more AT&T in 3 or 4 years time.
And then, whatever cabinets they did install, ruining peoples properties in the process..will simply be ripped out of the ground, thrown into the back of a garbage truck..
and hauled off to the place they belonged in the first place.
The scrap metal yard.

What exactly do you call a telco who loses all their landlines to VOIP...and who winds up delivering a HSI and video service over old copper lines in the ground for decades to a customer base who has 10 times or more those speeds available to them when the competition rolls out THEIR next generation service?
I call that company..finito.
