Dummies

umm.. just a minute here..

If this site was offering a MEDIA file for download and when you clicked it and got an exe (or other executable file) wouldn't that raise big red flags for most people (aol users not included.. )?

sounds too lame to me.. would only catch the really stupid or uninformed user.

glad they did get found out.. and hopefully there can be some ramifications due them illegally gaining access to a protected/private computer system.

I think its time to call Al Gore and let him know that a Big Business(MPAA) is abusing the very thing he help create(the internet) and the resources they are using is contributing to global warming. I'm sure that would spur his next title "An Inconvenient Download" "How the MPAA and Global Warming are Destroying My Internet".

All kidding aside the MPAA will get away with using such tactics until the average person is aware of the MPAA and what they do. I bet if you were to spend a day surveying people at your local video rental store maybe only 10% of the people you surveyed would know who the MPAA is. Until the big networks start putting these stories out in the main stream media the MPAA and RIAA are going to get away with what ever they want.

And gee.... who owns the media? Pretty much the very same people that run the MPAA and RIAA...
