Other DSL Providers besides AT&T Yahoo for SE Michigan???

Since I am not all things computers I am wondering if there is any DSL Services available besides AT&T Yahoo for about the same costs in SE Michigan?

Any pros or cons to others that are available? Thought the one I had was decent two other family members have it and no issue I had it and after about 10 days they continued to make changes that effect my usage of it to the point I was getting maybe 30% of the service.

Any suggestions on what is available??? And is the costs worth it??? Can you use the AT&T Yahoo Modem instead of having to get another one since they don't take their equipment back if it is over 30 days?

Any information is welcome just so you know I am not much with computers just use for emails, surfing the net and some forums was hoping to start DLL Music to an iPod but that went out the window when all I had was tech issues and really no support via email or chat...

Thanks,
LFM

There are hundreds of 3rd party ISP's available, as far as cost goes, if you are looking for a $14.95/month package, then no. No company will lose money selling DSL service as at&t will

I am sorry if I was asking for the same costs I am not I am just looking for reliable service at the right price.

Since I have the AT&T Yahoo Siemens Modem will I need to use another and the filters depending on which DSL I sign on with?

Like I stated in my post I am not very knowledgeable on computers & what DSL is all about so I really don't know how to compare one DSL service to another one. Maybe that is why I am here to try and better understand what I can get like Lightning Bolt Tech Service for residential I visited your website but being not into computers as most are I am not sure all the different options you have to offer. I am also not sure how to contact you directly to get better information on what I should be looking for and compare that to what the costs are for the different options that are available for DSL.

Again any information would be welcome.

After ten days of AT&T Yahoo DSL it went south nothing but changes on their end and yet I need to continue to request Tech Support and in the end they required me to call them because none of the email or chat suggestions resolved the issue and each week it was something new...

The speeds I was getting was 593 and 262 for their basic seemed slow but again not sure what I should have been getting.

Hoping to learn more to make a better decison on DSL...

Thanks for your post...

If you have questions about our service, feel free to PM me via this web site, or contact our customer service directly.

I won't go into details about our service here, as I don't want to spam this board. However many people on this site can give you general info on what to look for, but that is also going to depend on what you want and or need.

Thanks after doing a little more searching about DSL I will see where it leads me... I am not sure I want or even need. I looked at your site but again I am not sure what you are offering over what others offer. I guess it is like comparing apples to orange...

Thanks for your time...

Might just stay with Dial Up and that way I am not expecting the high speed and having to sign a contract.

Try EarthLink DSL ...I have had it for many years and it works good....if your area has it, the Michigan market is $29.95/mo for 1.5meg/256Kbps..
