that's from all the WHITE castles and beer you guys are letting him have.
We have no White Castles up here, silly. Nearest WC to here is in Yonkers, which is FAR closer to you. He's been eating fairly healthy, as Gunger said.

Why don't you have him bring the Beaver to us at the LI M&G!!!
Darn we could have done that. I was on my way home before you posted this. Also the Beaver has been promised to 2 new host. PCI is in contact with them and it looks like he is going to Canada and Texas next.

Ok, I'm REALLY REALLY glad that I got to host Beaver early in his traveling days! His shipping rates have probably doubled with all these adventures!

Gunger and I resisted the temptation to get him any more souvenirs on this adventure. He's already weighing in at over 10 pounds with all his crap precious posessions. We ask that future hosts only get him light souvenirs, even though he will ask for large items. He tried to get us to buy him a mini-fridge, and a 19th Century boat anchor. I had to discourage that. One of the bands at the Meltdown tried to give him a Vox AC-30 tube guitar amplifier (which weigh more than a dead Minister) but I had to decline on his behalf.

On this journey, we had hoped to take the Beaver to more places, like Alexandria Bay in the 1000 Islands, Boldt and Singer Castles, Lake Placid and the Olympic grounds, Whiteface Mountain, and others. However, the weather was less than kind to us in the last week and a half, being mostly rainy and cold. Perhaps on his next visit here, he can get out a bit more.

The Beaver was fascinated by the Hydro Power Museum, it was hard to keep him away from the glass with moving blue lit bubbles. He even took the time to watch a few educational videos!

It looks like the Beaver is interested in electric generation. He should summit an application for a position with the New York State Power Authority. He could help maintain the dams as he is an expert on dam building.

I tried getting him an application to the NYPA, but he didn't meet the height requirement to be a lineman. He's into this whole hydro electricity thing. His ancestor's dams don't make electricity... they just make a mess, usually.

But he could be the first in the family that went into the hydro dam business.
And we all can get a discount on our rates.

We already get a major discount here... we have Municipal Electric, pay next to NOTHING. When they messed up the town and created a calamity during the construction of the Seaway and Power Project, it was compensation for that. That agreement runs out in 2011, though, so the Town of Massena is constructing their own Hydro Dam on the Grasse River (just about in my back yard, oh joy, for the next few years) so that we can be totally self-sufficient, power-wise.

And I'm a customer of National Grid (formally Niagara Mohawk). 20 miles from the Niagara Falls Power project and we have the highest rates in the state according to the PSC.

Wow.... I would think we have the highest rates here on Long Island and NYC.

State might force higher electric bills
Option could help retrain jobs, officials say:

"The state's electricity is more expensive than in any other state except Hawaii in part because more power plants are fueled by oil and natural gas than in most other parts of the country, where cheaper coal is the dominant fuel. State taxes and charges on utility bills in New York also are among the highest in the country.

That in part is what makes hydropower, which supplies about 20 percent of power generated in the state and is by far the cheapest way to generate electricity, so valuable. By law, much of the output of the two big hydro plants owned by the state Power Authority in Niagara Falls and Massena is reserved for local industries. The rest has been allocated under various laws and contracts all over the state."

I just love higher bills! National Fuel, our local natural gas company, most likely will get a rate increase which will be used to, get this,to allow people to purchase energy savings products. The company also claims that their profits are down as people are using less gas.
Just amazing! You just can't win.

The Beaver is looking pretty pimp there. He should write a book. I bet his book would be more exciting than the Electric Kool Aid Acid Test with all the adventures that he has had. You guys didn't let him eat the brown acid while he was at beaver fest did ya?

How about I trade places with that lucky little bugger.
We kept him on a healthy diet for this trip The only thing brown he ate was leaves and beans.
