If they merge, anyone with a niche in anything can easily compete against one service. AFAIK the merger will not require the new company to give up any of its frequency allocations. So how can anyone compete against the one company when they have no satellites, no frequency allocations, no hardware manufacturers willing to produce products for a non-existent service, etc.? |
