Re: Win XP & Remote Desktop & Linksys Router

I have a laptop and desktop both running XP-Pro. They are both connected via a Linksys Wireless Router w/4 Port Switch. I have the Linksys WPC card in my laptop.

All I did was set up the router (using the web based utility), installed the drivers that came with the laptop card....ignoring "not valid XP drivers" message.

I have my router plugged into my ethernetcard of my PC and the DSL modem plugged into the WAN port of the router.

I set up a user on each machine. Gave each one full access rights to eachother's machines and that was it.

I didn't do any kind of port settings. From my laptop, I just launch Remote Desktop, put in my Desktop's computer name and that's it. I see the destkop on my laptop and vice cersa

Is there something that I am missing? Or something else that I need to do?

Everything seems to work AOK.

Thanks!
