triple scope + deep biopsy + mediport Tuesday afternoon.
was hoping that treatment would start Wednesday; but it looks like I'll be a featured topic on a Thursday AM MD conference call instead.
I'm told my cancer is in an advanced stage & surgery for now is pointless. game plan will probably be very agressive chemo + radiation.
trying to stay strong, hopeful & positive. but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little scared.

update time!
well? Today's stuff went well.
My throat is sore & a little hoarse from the intubation.
Apparently looking down there, all looked good.
They did another needle biopsy of the lymph node.
One little surprise they added, was a bone biopsy. But glad they did.
The MedPort is in. Less than 12 hours since surgery and my incision is sore. They placed enough padding & bandage on it, that I look like a relief pitcher in post-game interviews.
The best news? Treatment starts tomorrow!.
Not only am I the topic of some conference Thursday but now also Friday too. At least neither one holds treatment up.
Pretty tired. Don't see that improving anytime soon.
But looking forward to treating this problem.
BTW - I was told by all of my MD's that smoking was no longer a choice for me. I had been a 1.5 - 2pack/day smoker for 25 years.
Last week I began weening myself down. Last Sunday was a 2 cig day (ending at noon).
So here I am some 60 hours since quitting
I miss it, but don't crave it.
