(update from today)
started 2nd full week of radiation.
chemo resumes next week.
in speaking with the MD in charge of my radiation, he placed his hand just below my collarbone to indicate location of tumor in right lung.
he then moved his hand just above my collarbone to indicate the location of the swollen lymph node.
that's when he got excited... he then slaps me on the shoulder and claims "it's much smaller! It's working!!" 
anytime one of my MD's can get that excited and be that happy is just fine with me. 
he intends to keep blasting away at both tumors until they are history.
swallowing is becoming more difficult. that could be attributable to developing scar tissue.
my weight remains constant.
my spirit remains good.
my outlook is positive.
when all this is over, I intend to accomplish something I had no time for in the last 9 months...

thanks all for the encouraging words.
today (Sunday) was a day off from everything. this coming week starts a new round of chemo w/ daily radiation.
noticed today that my head hurt - my scalp actually.
don't know why I did it, but I grabbed a pinch of hair and gave it a tug.
Out it came just as easy and painlessly as could be. 
so it looks like I'll start losing my hair.
hell I took all the grey out out of it 6 months ago while in California.
Never had the hairless look before so this will be a new experience. So far, it looks like my moustache is still intact.
