$39.99 is NOT naked DSL. You can get verizon DSL + POTS for that. move on, nothing new here.

I don't know what kind of pricing you have, but I can barely get POTS for that much, and certainly not with 3Mbps at that price. Unless I'm missing some sort of super cheap plan that they never say anything about.
