| reply to bignet Re: [northeast] More Verizon FiOS available in Buffalo,NY
I would have to guess that Niagara Falls would get it before Eden, but neither are on the docket yet. Verizon is going for volume, meaning households passed per mile of fiber. In Main St. CO the houses are close and are mostly doubles. They want to get video franchises, so the more households the better. They also figure in the areas that will buy it. |

@verizon.net | Wow, Bignet, this is great news. I live literally 3 blocks from you, so hopefully I won't have too long to wait. |

| reply to DSLephant If you live 3 blocks from me now, and don't have it available already, you're in the Williamsville district and they're not getting it until late '08 at the earliest, and even then it's being phased in over 5 yrs.
I'm not sure how the marketing department determine what locations will buy it. |

@verizon.net | The day of my last post I called the main Buffalo number and the woman told me Amherst wouldn't be "until after the first of the year."
It would appear there's a great deal of uncertainty... |
