I can't get past the number availability prompt to speak to a rep. How do I get through?
Sbradshaw,
The correct number to call is 1-866-626-7150 (----Viatalk). You know what i mean. Peace..

I've tried calling the company's media relations department with no answer. Also have tried calling Lisa Hook to no avail. Tried ad department too just for good measure.

This of course means nothing though, given they're operating on a skeleton crew and have been probably fielding far more inquiries than they can handle the past few weeks....

He certainly knows the names. Could be disgruntled employee. If so, his move to post here really isn't going to do much. Most customers don't come to forums like this. He might scare off all of 10 people if that was the purpose.

I suspect the issue is more regarding the billing system than a total shutdown. The rep I spoke with was way to positive for someone that is about to lose their job.

I had a similarly chipper conversation....

I have a hard time discrediting the OP over the fact that SunRocket has not paid its creditors.

The fact that they still have live service reps completely oblivious to any internal strife seems suspect to me....(edit: Cat tells me they subcontract reps so this may not be proof one way or the other, since they wouldn't be notified yet)....

Whatever the case may be..... whether tomorrow or the next day.... what are the speculations as to what will happen to our service? (Dial-tone that is).
Would the FCC allow them to just pull the plug, turn off the lights and lock the doors? Leaving 200,000+ subscribers without e911?
I am just curious what will happen to my dialtone.

That I am not sure about. I doubt they would pull the plug like that on the customers besides the board would like to make some money back -- my guess i the member base will be bought and there will be no service interuption.

The layoffs tomorrow is not the final END of SR. The ramp down team says they have about 30 days left. Although their lease is up in Aug so I would imagine it all goes down before then.

Hope for a buyer.

I have dial tone. Overall, SunRocket's service is working as well, or better than ever. Service complaints seem to be down. Something is obviously going on, but, is it really over for existing customers? Is 200,000 customers enough to support ongoing operations if they cut expenses? It may depend on how many are prepaid and won't contribute to monthly cash needs. Time to start a pool. I think SunRocket will stay afloat until sold within a few months.

The key here is they have 200,000 customers that are not paying, they already paid and Sunrocket has already spent the money.

Without new customers there is NOTHING to support the company, as growth ends, so does capital.

Why would anyone buy them? With the churn you will get with raising the price do you think you can keep 25% of what you had?

BOGO was a BAD IDEA.

They have people bleeding them to death, paid up for 2 years without a chance of getting another time till 2009.

11 M in unpaid bills to vendors -- Email as an example:

It has been almost two months since we talked. Back in May, you asked
for 30 days to pay but that timeline has passed.

I need to know if you are going to pay and when we will receive payment
for the past due amount (November, 2006) of $3,910.

If I do not hear from you by tomorrow (July 13), we will suspend all
Visa award cards
