I'd be interested in knowing if it fixes the bug in "Blocking by keyword or URL" loggging.
The logs on ALL Versions since V1.45.7 are not verbose, so you DO successfully block things, but logs don't tell you WHAT was blocked. The reason this is bad is because there is a finite number of items to be blocked, and if you wish to keep track of what has been blocked, so that you can replace a rarely used block, with a new one..... You have no idea what has and has not been blocked by examining the logs.

At present, due to the many times I have tried beta software, and reported the results to Linksys via phone, email, letter, chat, and postings, I have lost interest in assisting them in ANY fashion, because they don't listen, or forward all suggestions to the circular file.
Until someone else tests it, I'm not interested...

For me this seems to be the one I'm happy with. But I do not use any kind of blocking of websites.

Thank you. Looks like they did some new things since the beta.

It's on linksys website, you need to know special handshake before you can get it

Loaded it up yesterday after reading your post. Has been stable for 24 hours with basic configuration. Just enabled UPnP which in previous versions of the firmware produced memory leaks.

Have also enabled QoS.

Had port scans done with Security-Space and it appears good - no open ports, etc....

Good luck

Loaded up just fine. VPN works.

I use wallwatcher to monitor and I now get a router message that says invalid TCP packet received, dropping packet....weird for a message coming from the router....any ideas?

I get that occasionally with V1.52.9

@optonline.net

I also get that reported occasionally in wallwatcher with firmware v1.45.7. I seem to recall reading somewhere that it was due to a hicup of the router when its NAT table is overflowed by incomming or outgoing connections (can't remenber which).

I can't tell if my befsx41 is ver 1 or ver 2. The back of the router doesn't have any version information.

This firmware works on both.

Also NOT interested until Flogator kicks the crap out of this firmware version and gives us a full report.

Caution101

@optonline.net

Just thinking out loud to myself! It has been almost 10 days since I posted the above message. It appears that Flogator is MIA on this one (v1.52.15). I wouldn't blame him a bit for throwing in the towel on Linksys/Cisco and the BEFSX41.

bricked

@verizon.net

reply to PeB4
I think 1.52.15 nearly bricked my BEFSX41, I flashed to it then back down and now the router is corrupting packets and now standing on its last leg.

Some people already having problems on linksys boards.
