Re: Sunrocket -- Dead? Can't make calls, western Washington.

I'm in Western Wa, suburb of Seattle and I haven't had a dial tone today (Sunday) since about 2pm PST. Incoming calls are going to my VM, and I am able to log into my member portal. I just did simple forwarding to my cell, but I don't know if it is working yet.

I hope this is just a simple outage. I've been with SR since October 2006, and have been very happy to date.

Anyone else not have a dial tone in the Seattle area?

I live north of Seattle, and my service is working fine...

sorry everyone, I just did a reset on my gizmo and it's now up and running again. No outage at all.

I hope SR sticks around, I'm very pleased with the service and the simple call forwarding did work.

Out in Charlotte, NC for three days. Has anyone around here heard anything about service?

Just a reminder, consumer VoIP is in general not a regional thing. This is particularly true for Sunrocket, which has very few (one?) data centers. Chances are very high that an SR customer in Massachusetts is attaching to exactly the same Sunrocket SIP server as you are in Carolina.

There's no general outage at this minute. You shouldn't have been out this long since the Friday outage.

So if you are still having trouble it's isolated: reset your gizmo and/or call customer support (but good luck these days!), and/or try the gizmo at another location where there's broadband. Good luck.

Thanks B, that makes sense. However it is down & has been for the longest outtage I've ever experienced. I didn't even know there was an outtage last week until I came back from out of town today and, on discovering service was still out, began researching.

Everything's working fine here. I couldn't get it back the easy way, instead I had to power everything down & wait for awhile. Also I can't go cable modem -> router -> gizmo; instead I have to go cable modem -> gizmo -> router (in other words, ow Sunrocket said to set it up in the first place).

Re: Sunrocket -- Alive and .....well(?) in NJ

At the moment (Mon July 16 @ 8pm EDT) both my NJ and FL SR service (separate accounts) are working fine for Outgoing, Incoming and Call Forwarding. But I'm not holding my breath. Porting of these last SR accounts had already been initiated last week.
