I'll be a while before it's deployed outside of Tokyo

That's similar to the documentation by GSMA

I think it'll be a while before anyone will be deploying it.

1. Spectrum (anyone have 40MHz of available spectrum?)
2. Backhaul - anyone able to afford running GigE (fiber) to each site ? 300Mbps... assume 3 sectors = 900Mbps min.

When something like this is availble (yeah it will exist eventually), I don't see it outside of dense urban areas for a while. Who knows... maybe AT&T will run this off their VRAD's

With Bandwidth like that, it could BE a backhaul. Seriously, Mr. Internet Swed Legend gave his Mom backhaul bandwidth just to show it could be done. Looks like it's more a matter of will than technology.

4 years ago, we were neck deep in CDMA doubting that 3G would ever come. Seems we normally get about 10% of the promised final product so, 15-30Mb sounds ok.

I guess it'll do.
