Get a life

I have been reading all the raving and ranting going on this message thread. I am by no means an Apple booster but I am also not an Apple basher!.

I would like to ask these posters a few questions,
1. Which of you have really read all the fine print on the reverse side of your existing cellphone contract. Much of what people are complaining about is found in one way or the other in almost each and every existing contract.
2. How many have actually used the iPhone before complaining of the speed of browsing.

I have been using this phone for the past 3 days in the Bay area and am really impressed with the quality of the product. I predict that 5 years from today, people will be saying that this is the product that created a radical shift in the technology landscape.

By the way, product pricing has nothing to do with what it costs to make. In the "high tech" world, product pricing is all based on what the market will bear.

High tech companies typically look for a 50 to 60% margin when the product is launched fully expecting it to slide in the low teens. The initial high margins is what fuels the cash for R&D and further innovations.
