You're counting your chickens a bit prematurely. The merger isn't final yet.
Even if your claim was true, it ignores a fundamental point. That point is that any pre-recorded content broadcast by Sirius, XM or any other OTA radio is done by someone else, so you don't have to. That is known as a value-adding service. For those who want a pleasing flow of music, without having to spend countless hours coming up with their own playlists, this is particularly attractive. It should go without saying that anyone operating a motor vehicle should not be focusing their attention on entertainment devices.
Sirius and XM both broadcast from satellites, and both use antennae. It doesn't matter if one company's headquarters is located in the city where you live, because their transmitters are at least 22,240 miles away. -- Dead webcasters don't make cents.
