Hi George, what would you like to know about bandwidth usage?

george_(Sun Jul 15 2007 00:19:50 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time))>

I was recently told I used to much bandwidth last month, how much is the acceptable usage?

Matt.23044(Sun Jul 15 2007 00:20:26 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time))>

As far as I know there is no set limit, but the general cap is about 60Gb a month, if you don't mind waiting a moment I will see if I can find out the exact amount.

Here are some general amounts of files that are acceptable for monthly downloading.

Matt.23044(Sun Jul 15 2007 00:25:01 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time))>

Sending or receiving 13 million emails
Sending or receiving 256,000 photos
Downloading 30,000 songs
Viewing 14,000 movie trailers

That doesn't help at all considering, those file sizes vary greatly... Can you be more specific in terms of Gbs?

Matt.23044(Sun Jul 15 2007 00:28:23 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time))>

I am afraid I cannot. There really is no set limit on the amount of bandwidth available for use, one of my colleagues said that it is generally about 60GB a month, but I have been unable to locate any documentation mentioning Maximum bandwidth usage.

george_(Sun Jul 15 2007 00:30:44 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time))>

How am I supposed to keep my usage under a limit that I don't know?

Matt.23044(Sun Jul 15 2007 00:31:46 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time))>

I apologize but you may need to contact your local office regarding the issue, as far as I know there is no limit on amount of bandwidth used per month.

george_(Sun Jul 15 2007 00:34:42 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time))>

How would I go about doing so, as there is definitively a limit as a received a phone call form comcast threatening to cancel my service if I did not reduce usage

Matt.23044(Sun Jul 15 2007 00:33:58 GMT-0400 (Eastern Daylight Time))>

I will get you there contact information. One moment please.
