I guess some could see it that way. A long time ago in a game far, far away I tried throwing votes around to get reactions. It didn't work that well for me, maybe I was doing it wrong, but it might work for some players.
My strategy early in the game is to try to figure out any clues the Mod provides, try to figure out what the Roles could be, then I start to see what people are posting.
But every post, even if it's just a couple of players joking around, could give a Mafia member away. So post on people.
