Changing the default fonts in Ubuntu/FFawn

Hi guys,

I tried to do it via Firefox Edit>Preferences>Fonts and colors, but it doesn't work. I still have here this bright font that's killing my poor eyes.

I as wondering if there is a font file available to download into Ubuntu using Microsoft web type. If there is, could you post the instructions as well?

Thx in advance.

Open Synaptic and search for "msstcorefonts" without the quotes, mark for installation, apply. That will add the MS fonts to your system, and you can access them through 'Control Center', 'Fonts', or through any program's font selector. You might also want to play around with the font rendering settings while you're at it - I prefer 'Best shapes' myself.
