Qwest Choice TV

The limited areas for the Qwest Choice™ TV are Denver and Phoenix. And just having a zip code in those areas does not mean you will be able to get the service

To go along with the article I really hate the fact how Qwest is really taking a sit back and see what happens approach for the next broadband and Video Services. Since they are the only Telco provider in the area for me it means I won't see any form of HD TV other than DTV or Comcast which I favor neither at the moment.

The problem on Qwest's end is that they are just emerging out of debt and finally making a more steady profit. If Qwest/USWest didn't have such corrupt CEO's and whatnot, they'd have more cash laying around to do what AT&T and Verizon are doing.

Unfortunately, until they see which one benefits most from VZW/at&t, they do have to take a wait and see approach. I don't like it but if you look at it from a business standpoint, you can't go blowing money on "unproven" (yes, bad word but its all I can think of) things in case it comes back and bites you in the arse

If they don't want to wait and see about VZ/AT&T they could always go and start buying up mom and pop Cable companies in their area. Easy way to get into the business and expand their services; especially outside of the DSLAM. Also it could mean FTTN already.

I have used some peoples Qwest Choice TV services when visiting their house. I must say the UI definitely needs improvement. The UI looks like it was designed in 1970, hopefully this new "MS interface" will look something along the lines of coming from this era.

"The UI looks like it was designed in 1970"

As someone that's been in their CO's, including COMAIN (what a train wreck), and supported the engineers designing the COs with COEFM I am not entirely supprised. There isn't a thing this company does to innovate. They are stuck in the late seventies and early 80's. I'm affraid if I signed up for that service all I'd see are old Dallas and Falcon Crest re-runs. "The spirit of service INACTION" is right. Like how they changed that slogan real fast too.
